2. EKLA CHOLO RE – EPR
EPR has been touching a lot of social issues, and he is a socio-political rapper. This track just shows how much hip-hop can be used for expressing your emotions and social issues. This track was about the situations of farmers in our country, many farmers commit suicide every year and this track was made after a video of a farmer got viral where he was telling his problems, how he had to sell his vegetables for so low rate. EPR talked about everything in this track that how the government doesn’t care about farmers at all, even after so many cases there was no media coverage and companies are selling pesticides and seeds at a really high cost. This track will make you really emotional as the video concept of this song is so painful too. In the video, the farmer was burying himself with his daughter on the farm because of drought. And the saddest part is that actually happens, farmers are committing suicide with their families because they have nothing to survive on. 3. VAISHNAVA JANA TO – BRODHA V
This socio-political anthem is one of the best songs from Brodha V. What makes this song so catchy is that Brodha V used an Old school Boom Bap beat with a bhajan as the chorus. And it worked out the best. Let’s discuss about the track first, this track is completely in English as usual from Brodha v. This track is catchy because of the bhajan named Vaishnav Jana To which Mahatma Gandhi used to sing and the hook of this track is also great. The Indian classical vocals are done by Aishwarya Rangarajan and she just did an amazing job, that voice will stick you to the track, The music, rap, lyrics and mixing was done by Brodha V himself as he is a full package in the music industry. now let’s discuss the topics discussed in this track.
In this socio-political anthem, Brodha V highlights the inequalities around him, the propaganda of separatism spread by mainstream news outlets, and urges people to look beyond divisions of caste and religion, and come together as one. Brodha just talked about everything wrong going around him in this country and with his lyrics, he just nailed it, he talked about how the hands which need books are holding knives because these poor children are turned into goons because they have no study and movement is too busy to focus on this as they got temples and mosques to fight over. Brodha V covered almost everything in this track and he deserves more views, there are just 2 Million views on it. He dissed everything which is wrong with our society in the best way possible.
4. KAISA MERA DESH – KR$NA
This anti-corruption anthem was the first hip-hop track to go viral in India, Kr$na as Young Prozpekt did it 9 years ago at the time of Commonwealth Games in India, This rap was made to show the poverty of India which the government ignored at that time. When Commonwealth games were held in India, everyone was happy about it but India was a joke on the international level. This was a song to vent out all the frustration and embarrassment we as Indians have been put through triggered by the complete mess our officials made of the CWG in Delhi. But still the government was behaving like nothing happened. So kr$na made this track when his stage name was Young Prozpekt, he showed the reality of this country in his music video and his lyrics, kr$na is pure hip-hop like brodha V and EPR, he had songs like Vijay, Lokpal, Desi wrap up, etc on social issues. This track was trending number 2 overnight in 2010 and its a big deal. It shows how much the people agreed with this rap song.
Kr$na has been in the game for a really long time now, he had made all kinds of hip hop and this track was one of the masterpieces he has done in his journey. This track might be viral at that time but it still just have over 130k views and it surely deserves more.

5. FOD DENA – FOTTY SEVEN
Rape has been a really serious problem in our country because of loopholes in our law system many rapists survives and there are like thousands of cases which are not reported. Fotty Seven released this track when the Dr. Priyanka Reddy Case happened, it was a real shock to everyone. No one could believe that humans can destroy humanity on such level, Fotty Seven wrote that he can’t even write about it because his hands are shaking while thinking about the pain and darkness she might have suffered from but how can these rapists are doing that without any guilt or fear. In this track you can observe that Fotty wants to do more but he is limited to his pen and he is still doing his best with it.
The main meaning after this song was that if you ever encounter any similar incident just do what you can do to help the victim! Because the judiciary system has failed itself so it’s all on you to help each other and its called humanity. Artists are doing their best to spread awareness cause that’s what they can do the best with their art. They are educating people with their raps and we as an audience should support them all.
6. #NORAPE – EMIWAY
Emiway raised his voice when the Asifa rape case happened, it’s so sad to see that how women are afraid to meet any boy alone, Emiway rapped about it and he believes that women are now afraid to hang around at night just because of some filthy men and still this society just blames there clothes which really shows how dumb people are! Emiway even said I this track, that he was waiting for the government to create a strong law but nothing happened and he could not stay quiet and came up with this song. He named this track #norape so that it can aware more people and people can affect the decisions of government. They tried to force the laws and even in the video you can observe how he is performing in protests and all people are together against Rape culture.
This track is really emotional and the lyrics will touch you deep, Emotions are the best weapon of an artist and you can feel the emotions in their social tracks.
7. NAARI – IQLIPSE NOVA
This track will definitely give you goosebumps, yeah as the title suggests it’s based on women rights and how women are harassed by society. The best thing about this song is its video, the video featured 7 girls who were lipsyncing on the rap and the rap was performed by Shlok and iqlipse. The rap was written by shlok, the lyrics are simple but super powerful and you will just get deep into it when the chorus will hit you. They almost covered all topics in this track like how girls are not allowed to roam around at night in most of the households and how people blame everything on their clothing like the girls with full-length clothes are safe in this country! And they talked about how filthy men take everything on their Ego, if a girl rejects them then they will just call her whore and things, Even most of the acid attacks were happened because of such rejections. The points they covered are totally legit.
This track really deserves a lot of recognition, everyone needs to understand the value of a woman, yeah there are cases of false accusation on boys by girls but that does not mean that girls are not oppressed. Stop defending your race and start respecting each other properly.
8. NAARIVAAD – STARNICK
So this track is in support of men, now as I said above that there are girls who just destroy the lives of men by playing the victim card. Starnick did a great job of expressing her thoughts on equality. This track was pointed to the girls who abuse their rights and word feminism. They use the word feminism as their shield to play victim. This track will hit you deep too, it is all about how girls stalk boys too but if a boy does the same then its crime and girls just accuse boys of fake harassment just for money and to destroy a life. There are even fake cases of dowry just for money. And even in the recent locker room case there were girls who were doing the same thing as boys. It’s sad to see how few messed up people of the community just embarrass everyone. The best topics starnick covered in this track were about how women like Kalpana Chawla and Mary Kom earned the respect of everyone by fighting against all the odds and few pseudo feminists women are just wanting respect without doing anything.
Well this all does not change the fact that crimes are women is high but it also does not change the fact that some filthy women are using them sympathy against men. so it’s all about respecting each other on the human level.
9. KATTARWAAD – RAP ID
This masterpiece is totally one of the best socio-political rap, this is based on the recent religious conflicts happen in our government because of CAA and NRC. These conflicts grew a lot and a lot of people died in it, corrupt media and government just kept putting oil in the fire. While Artists like Rap ID tried to make people understand how these all higher authorities want to separate everyone. In this rap video , there are 2 boys sitting in front of each other, one is Hindu, and the other is Muslim, now this is not a typical rap on religion. They confront each other with their side of the story as a coin has two faces. And at the end of the video there is a sweet twist too. In this Rap the rapper talked about both perspectives of both religions. he talked about the negative perspective of both religions.
At the end he just left a message that there are differences with everyone but you can not hate each other based on it! Respect every religion and every person, no religion or holy book told anyone to hate each other. This is a democratic country and we have a long way to go along. This country runs because of us and in the end there is an audio of politicians giving hate speech too. which shows how corrupt the government is!
10. MANDIR WAHIN BANEGA – DHEERU KHOLA
Well after all the seriousness here is a sarcastic but powerful track. This is a song made to highlight the harsh reality of our society. And this is a message presented in an entertaining way to state the fact that ” The leaders/Politicians do not fulfill all the promises that they make before the elections time.” The artist dheeru Khola is a Haryana based rapper and he really did a great job at lyrics and sarcasm with bitter truths. This song spoke things like how politicians just care about money and hype. The case of Mandir happened in Ayodhya, in which a lot of conflicts happened and the government again just increased it on the basis of religion. Dheer Kholi also talked about how these politicians don’t care about the main topics like education and poverty at all, they all just want to win the elections for corruption. And they are so much into the dirt that they just buy votes and do a lot of illegal crimes.
This track is sarcastic and fun to listen to, there is a drop in it made with speeches of politicians and it is really great and funny. Even after being sarcastic this track has a lot of truth bombs and its easy listening too because of lyrics as they are not complex.
With this last track, our list ends here and I hope you guys liked it, nothing is ranked in this list, it’s all just top songs we think you will love.
