A British-created rock festival, Download Festival has announced that it will no longer be taking place in 2021. Check out the post below.

The festival also announced the 2022 dates and headliners including, KISS, Iron Maiden and Biffy Clyro. The festival will take place on 10th – 12th June 2022. The event was about to take place from June 4-6 this year but unfortunately, it had to cancel the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival mentioned in the written post, “We can now confirm that Download Festival will no longer be taking place this year. But we do have exciting news for 2022.

“We never gave up hope of bringing the festival back to Donington this June and had been working so hard behind the scenes to make them happen,” they added. “but we now know it is not possible, We are heartbroken for everyone in the Download Family, from artists to suppliers and of course our passionate Download fans.”

“Downloaders, your 2022 headliners are here!” Download boss Andy Copping also added, “Rock ‘n’ roll legends KISS will be kicking off Friday in style, Iron Maiden will return bringing with them mascot Eddie and more fire than we can handle, and what better way to end the festival than with Biffy who will leave us awestruck with their energy. I’m counting down the days already!”
