The American musician John Frusciante has released his third acid house album called ‘She Smiles Because She Presses The Button.’ His third acid house release under the Trickfinger moniker.
‘She Smiles Because She Presses The Button’ follows Frusciante’s 2017 release ‘Trickfinger II’ and ‘Look Down, See Us’, which was dropped last month. The third acid house album was released yesterday (June 5) via Avenue 66, an imprint of Acid Test Records. Per Consequence of Sound, the album is the second of three releases to come before year’s end.

John has the melodic and programming chops to jump from style to style while sounding only like himself. “Amb” is the welcome middle-ground between Balearic and IDM while “Brise” with its quick syncopations and rhythmic groove provides a contrasting fabric.
