The Murder Capital Heart in the Hole

The Murder Capital has just released a new single titled “Heart In The Hole.” This marks their first release since their well-received album, “Gigi’s Recovery,” which came out in January.

The song is described as a blend of minimalist folk that gradually transforms into a wide-ranging, dynamic rock track. The accompanying official video, directed by Charlie Joe Doherty, has a vintage aesthetic.

The band shared, “Dublin is the backdrop, we were the always-changing cast of characters, ‘Heart In The Hole’ is an injection of humanity into the void that’s created in excess. Reminding ourselves to laugh at the mania, question the motives, and maybe most importantly, stick around to see what happens next.”

Irish post-punk band The Murder Capital was formed in 2018. The band’s music has been described as dark, intense, and introspective, with a focus on themes of vulnerability, self-reflection, and emotional turmoil.

Moreover, ‘Heart In The Hole’ comes just as The Murder Capital is gearing up for a European and UK/Ireland headline tour starting next week. During the summer, the band performed at various festivals, including Coachella, Glastonbury, and Reading & Leeds.

In a touching tribute, the group also shared footage of themselves performing one of Sinead O’Connor’s songs at a live show to commemorate the late singer’s funeral last month.
