Moira Rose (Catherine O’Hara) kicked things off with a signature “well, hello you!”, which was part of YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020 – by explaining that she, David (Dan Levy), Johnny (Eugene Levy), and Alexis (Annie Murphy) had been given ‘the essential task of sending our preceptors some panegyrical words’.

‘We just wanted to express from the bottom of our hearts, just how necessary you all are in shaping young minds,’ interrupted Johnny. ‘Thank you, and may you continue to brighten the paths for many more to come,’ David continued.

Then, Mariah announced, “To all the teachers and professors, and especially the ones who have to deal with students like me, who never really showed up to school on time, you rose to the occasion and help these students reach the finish line’.

‘To the students that have to deal with this bleak moment, congratulations on this historic accomplishment. To all the teachers and students, you are so appreciated. I just want to say, class of 2020, you made it!’

“Moira, darling, I hope you didn’t mind that I jumped in like that. You all sounded so good that I had to get in on it,” Carey said after they finished singing.

Everyone looked happy and surprised to see the songstress, but David was on a whole other level.

“I think I’m having a heart attack,” he said.
