The MTV Video Music Awards 2020 will be broadcast live tonight, August 30 from various locations around New York City. The broadcast and a VMAs live stream of the main ceremony is about to start at 8 p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific) on MTV and MTV.com, in addition to the MTV mobile apps for iOS/Android.

This year’s MTV VMAs 2020 will feature remote performances from across New York City. You may also catch the pre-show, which will also function artist performances, interviews, and more, earlier than the main ceremony.

Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande have been this year’s most-nominated artists. They are set to debut the live performance of Chromatica’s Rain on Me” on the ceremony, whereas BTS will sing their new song “Dynamite.” Miley Cyrus, the Weeknd, Maluma, and others are also set to perform.

The MTV VMAs pre-show starts at 6:30 p.m. Eastern (3:30 p.m. Pacific) and can feature 90 minutes of performances and celeb interviews. The entire ceremony is free to stream on MTV.com. Among the many artists slated to carry out are Chloe x Halle, Machine Gun Kelly (that includes Travis Barker and Blackbear), Jack Harlow, Lewis Capaldi, and Tate McRae. MTV’s Nessa Diab and Jamila Mustafa are slated to host the pre-show; special correspondents include Kevan Kenney and Travis Mills.
