Speaking about the song, which is pushed by an evenly strummed electrical guitar and heavy bass kicks, finds Kane, Swae, and Khalid detailing the tug and pull struggles of their relationships. Beginning by shrugging off the unhealthy parts of the connection, the three artists discover their balance by glancing over to the great that’s occurred of their love lives.

“It’s about all the different feelings you can have in a relationship,” Brown said of the tune. “And trying not to overthink it. When it gets tough, you want to be on your own, but then you miss the person a second later. I think it’s something everyone goes through.”
