Katy Perry sang her new hit song “Daisies” on Sunday Night June 7, 2020 for the graduating class of 2020. Perry welcomed the class of 2020 with kind words and sang her new song in front of a shiny silver wall of streamers. She wore a white dress and did her hair in a Marilyn Monroe like fashion. She performed while pregnant with her first child of fiance Orlando Bloom.

Dear Class of 2020 was an event hosted on YouTube as a virtual celebration as all physical celebrations have been cancelled due to Covid19. Celebrities and guests were featured, and Katy Perry topped it off with a performance of her new song and she also performed her hit song “Firework.” Her production team put together a wonderful video since she can’t perform live. When she performed “Firework” you can see pictures of graduates celebrating. At the end of the video she told the graduates they deserve to celebrate and have fun.

Celebrities who also took part in the celebration include Justin Timberlake, Billie Eilish, Michelle and Barack Obama, Seth Rogen, Demi Lovato, Russell Wilson and Ciara, Dwayne Wade, Gabrielle Union, Rita Wilson, and Tom Hanks. It was an event that was sure to inspire and celebrate the 2020 graduates of their achievements.
