King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard announced their upcoming album, ‘The Silver Cord,’ which will be released next month.
This album marks their 25th overall and follows their June release, ‘PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation.’

The band shared on their Instagram account that ‘The Silver Cord’ will include seven new songs. It will be available in two formats: a regular and an “extended edition” with longer versions of each piece.
Additionally, the album cover depicts the band members dressed in black with red tea-shade glasses. They have keyboards and synthesizers around, hinting at a possible return to the electronic sound seen in songs like ‘Cyboogie.’
It’s unclear whether any singles from the album will be released before its official launch on Friday, October 27. Moreover, you can find the King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s The Silver Cord tracklist on the band’s Instagram post.
Fans can pre-order ‘The Silver Cord’ from the band’s Gizzverse webstore starting Thursday, October 12.
In January 2023, the band started the year with a nine-hour, 86-track live album ‘Live At Red Rocks ’22.’ The next one was ‘PetroDragonic Apocalypse’ in June.
