Metallica To Release ‘Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M2’ live album

The American heavy metal band, Metallica have announced their new live album, ‘Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M2 — you can check out a trailer for its accompanying concert film below.

S&M2’ is the follow-up to the band’s 1999 live album ‘S&M’, and was recorded in San Francisco over two nights in September 2019 with the San Francisco Symphony to commemorate the 20th anniversary of ‘S&M’.

The ‘S&M2’ concert film was subsequently screened in cinemas worldwide for one night only on October 9, 2019.

A trailer for the new home version of the ‘S&M2’ concert film — which will be presented in a brand new edit that is different to the film that was screened last year — has premiered today (July 15), which you can check out below.

Metallica have also confirmed that ‘S&M2’ will be released in a wide array of formats on August 28, including 4xLP vinyl, 2xCD, DVD and Blu-ray versions and a limited edition colour vinyl 4xLP + 2xCD + Blu-ray “Deluxe Box”. Pre-order is available now.
