Wolfgang added, “As my pop continued to struggle with various health issues, I was imagining what my life would be like without him and how terribly I’d miss him, While the song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their life.”
The music video firmed from old house motion pictures, some shot by Wolfgang’s mother, Valerie Bertinelli, showcases Eddie as an adoring dad, with footage of him bottle-feeding baby Wolfie and displaying him guitars and pianos before he might speak.
Eddie Van Halen has died after a long battle with cancer. He was 65. He’s been in and out of the hospital over the past year, including last November for intestinal issues, and recently underwent a round of chemo. Last year, Eddie was flying between the US and Germany for 5 years to get radiation treatment.
The album will probably be released next yr, he mentioned to Howard Stern that the album might’ve been released as early as 2018, however, he delayed it as a way to spend time together with his ailing dad. Wolfgang explained that his father’s worsening condition came amid plans for a Van Halen “classic line-up” reunion tour, which the band’s manager Irving Azoff discussed last month.
