Apple Music has officially added the playlist import feature for Spotify and other streaming platforms. Check out the full announcement below.

According to the source, Apple Music has officially launched a new tool that makes it easier than ever to bring over your playlists from rival platforms like Spotify. After beta testing in Australia and New Zealand, the feature is now rolling out in the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, and Mexico.

The new option—called “Transfer Music from Other Music Services”—appears in Apple Music’s settings menu. Users can sign in to another streaming account and choose which playlists they want to import. Apple has also published a Support page with detailed instructions, along with an alternative browser-based method for transferring music libraries.

Coincidentally, Apple’s rollout arrives as Spotify faces a wave of criticism and artist boycotts. Indie-rock acts like Hotline TNT, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Xiu Xiu, and Deerhoof have recently pulled their catalogs from the service. While Spotify has long been under fire for low royalty payouts and ethical controversies, the latest exodus was sparked by growing backlash to CEO Daniel Ek’s venture capital fund, Prima Materia. The fund has heavily invested in Helsing, a defense company that develops artificial intelligence–driven military technologies—raising alarms for artists who feel the platform’s values clash with their own.
