K-pop group BTS has plotted a major return with a Netflix concert special and a Behind-the-Scenes documentary. Watch the teaser below.
On Monday (Feb. 2), it was revealed that BTS will stage their first live performance in three years, with the show streaming exclusively on Netflix just one day after the group’s new album release. Titled BTS the Comeback Live | Arirang, the special premieres at 7 a.m. ET on March 21 and captures RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook performing at Gwanghwamun Square, the historic plaza at the entrance to Seoul’s Gyeongbokgung Palace.
“The film offers rare behind-the-scenes access as the group comes back together and charts an unprecedented path forward together after a nearly four-year hiatus,” read a statement from Netflix. Following their mandatory military service, the septet regrouped in Los Angeles to record the new album and according to the release, “they return to a shared creative space after being shaped by time apart and personal change. For their next chapter, they reflect on their whirlwind past as they contemplate what the future of BTS will look and sound like.”
Netflix announced the news via Instagram with the caption, “BTS X NETFLIX BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG @ March 21 8pm KST / 4am PST 🎤 BTS will perform at historic Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. LIVE worldwide exclusively on Netflix. BTS: THE RETURN, DOCUMENTARY FILM @ March 27 🎥 BTS: THE RETURN, a documentary film showcasing the making of their comeback album ARIRANG. Only on Netflix.”
Arirang is BTS’ first studio album since 2022’s Map of the Soul: 7. Last month, BTS officially confirmed its March 2026 comeback. A release date has been confirmed, ending a nearly four-year BTS drought.
