The French rapper Orelsan recently released a new album called La fuite en avant, and it closes with a song featuring former Daft Punk member Thomas Bangalter.
Bangalter serves as co-producer and co-writer on “Yoroï,” also contributing bass to the track. A representative for the musician told Pitchfork that he and Orelsan have maintained a long-standing friendship, and that the rapper invited Bangalter to collaborate on a single song for his new album.
In June 2024, Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter dropped his incredible new ‘Chiroptera’ six-hour soundtrack. Bangalter collaborates with artist JR and choreographer Damien Jallet on the new dance performance Chiroptera, which features 154 dancers and takes place on multiple floors.
