‘Please Come to Boston’ Singer and Masters Theme Composer, Dave Loggins died at the age of 76.
He is best known for his 1974 hit single “Please Come to Boston”, as well as his 1984 duet with Anne Murray, “Nobody Loves Me Like You Do”. No cause of death was disclosed.
He crafted five decades’ worth of hit songs for a long list of artists, including Three Dog Night, Joan Baez, Toby Keith, Johnny Cash, Wynonna Judd, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, Reba McEntire, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Rogers, and Willie Nelson.
Also, Loggins wrote the song “Pieces of April” for the band Three Dog Night, which was a Top 20 success in 1973. Before becoming a musician, Loggins was employed as a draftsman and as an insurance salesman.
