American singer, Dolly Parton’s older brother David Parton died at the age of 82. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
The 78-year-old country music icon’s sister, Stella Parton, shared the news on social media Friday (Nov. 15). “My brother David passed away peacefully this morning,” Stella wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “It’s never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, but he got his angel wings and is now at peace.”
“It’s never easy to lose a loved one,” and mentioned that David died “in the early hours of the morning,” in a Facebook post on Saturday, Stella said. Dolly Parton had not publicly remarked on her brother’s death at press time.
