American rock band, Foo Fighters has shared the brand new fresh track titled “Today’s Song.” Listen to the full song below.

The track marks their first new song in nearly two years. It follows the band’s 2023 full-length, But Here We Are, their first album without the late drummer Taylor Hawkins, and the newly shared cover of Minor Threat’s “I Don’t Wanna Hear It.”

Foo Fighters parted ways with drummer Josh Freese, who stepped in following the passing of Taylor Hawkins, earlier in May, reportedly leaving Freese confused about the decision. While the press release for the new single “Today’s Song” does not reveal who plays drums on the track, it confirms that the band’s lineup otherwise remains unchanged. Dave Grohl continues on lead vocals and guitar, with Nate Mendel on bass, Pat Smear and Chris Shiflett on guitars (Shiflett also providing backing vocals), and Rami Jaffee on keyboards.

In a statement, Dave Grohl wrote, “It should go without saying that without the boundless energy of William Goldsmith, the seasoned wisdom of Franz Stahl, and the thunderous wizardry of Josh Freese, this story would be incomplete, so we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the time, music, and memories that we shared with each of them over the years. Thank you, gentlemen.”

“And… Taylor,” Grohl continued. “Your name is spoken every day, sometimes with tears, sometimes with a smile, but you are still in everything we do, everywhere we go, forever. The enormity of your beautiful soul is only rivaled by the infinite longing we feel in your absence. We all miss you beyond words. Foo Fighters will forever include Taylor Hawkins in every note that we play, until we do finally reach our destination.”
