According to TMZ reports, Grimes filed a “petition to establish a parental relationship” last Friday. This comes days after Grimes tweeted, “… tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer.”
Singer, Grimes and Elon Musk went public with their relationship in 2018 when they attended the Met Gala together. A few years later, Musk said that he and the musician “are semi-separated.” Grimes and Musk share three children: X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Tau Techno Mechanicus Musk.
In a since-deleted post on X, Grimes wrote about Shivon Zillis, with whom Musk also shares children: “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer. I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart.”
In a follow-up statement, Grimes wrote, “I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue. This wasn’t her fault, plz don’t be angry at her! We respect each other a lot and we’re excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together.”
She added, “Women are so often pitted against each other. Speaking with Shivon, it’s very evident she’s an amazing human and we both just want what’s best for our kids.”
