English Blues and Rock Musician, songwriter, and producer, John Mayall died at the age of 90.
In the 1960s, he formed John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, a band that has counted among its members some of the most famous blues and blues rock musicians.
A statement on Mayall’s Instagram page announced his death Tuesday (July 23), saying the musician died Monday at his home in California. “Health issues that forced John to end his epic touring career have finally led to peace for one of this world’s greatest road warriors,” the post said.
At ninety years old, Mayall was one of the oldest active musicians. Mayall was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the musical excellence category in 2024.
