The expanded reissue of Juice’s third album features a poignant posthumous collaboration with XXXTENTACION titled “The Way.” “Time and time, again/ I am lost, my friend/ Getting better, I’m getting better,” X croons on the chorus backed by an acoustic guitar.
Juice takes the baton and continues his journey to hopefully discover inner peace. “Lost my mind, trapped in me/ I don’t know what’s happening/ I’ve been space-traveling/ Tryna find some inner peace, inner peace,” he softly raps in his raspy flow.
Juice WRLD passed away on Dec. 8, 2019, and his death was ruled an accidental overdose due to “oxycodone and codeine toxicity,” according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
While XXXTENTACION was tragically murdered in an armed robbery attempt on June 18, 2018, when the genre-bending rapper was shot and killed outside RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
