Katy Perry, the “Dark Horse” singer, is going to space with an all-female crew on a Blue Origin rocket. Watch the amazing clip below.
The crew includes Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, Gayle King, Katy Perry, Kerianne Flynn, and Lauren Sánchez, who brought the mission together. Yesterday, on 14th April, Perry captioned, “I’ve dreamt of going to space for 15 years and tomorrow that dream becomes a reality 👩🏻🚀🪶🐢 The Taking Up Space Crew launches tomorrow morning at 7am CT and I am SO honored to be alongside 5 other incredible and inspiring women as we become the first ever all female flight space crew!”
Their flight, NS-31, launched aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket as its launch window opened at 8:30 AM CT / 9:30 AM ET. It was livestreamed both on YouTube and Blue Origin’s website.
In Feb 2025, Blue Origin announced the six people flying on its NS-31 mission. Now they are launched. Recently, The Roar singer surprisingly released her latest deluxe version of the album, 1432.’
In a video posted to Instagram before the flight, Perry said she plans to make a “special reveal coming to you from zero gravity.”
