Lamar’s performance during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, enrolling SZA, Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, and Mustard for an ode to Compton on the biggest stage in the world.

The event opened with a lively introduction from Samuel Jackson, who wore a patriotic outfit inspired by “Uncle Sam” and made appearances between songs. The performance started with Dot standing atop a Grand National Buick, a visual strongly tied to his latest album GNX. He kicked things off with “Squabble Up” before taking the audience back to 2017 with performances of “HUMBLE.” and “DNA.”

Bringing the focus back to the present, Lamar performed “Euphoria,” a track widely known for its lyrical jabs at Drake. He then returned to GNX with a brief showcase of “Man at the Garden” and “Peekaboo.” As he hinted at performing “Not Like Us,” he shifted gears to a more mellow vibe, welcoming SZA to the stage. Together, they performed their newest collaboration, “Luther,” along with “All The Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack.
