American singer-songwriter, Kesha has released her brand new single named ‘JOYRIDE.’ Listen to the full song below.
The track marks her first single of 2024 and the first to be released on her label, Kesha Records. Kesha co-wrote the track with Zhone and Madison Love.
The track. ‘JOYRIDE’ is a hostile anthem where Kesha welcomes their inner “bitch“, and unapologetically demands an exciting night with sass and attitude. The Zhone-produced song is laced with quotable lyrics such as “You want kids? Well I am a mother” and “Get in, loser, for the joyride”
Kesha has praised the self-release of the track, “Joyride” as a extravaganza of independence after a long, troubled relationship with Kemosabe, the label owned by super-producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald.
Last year, Kesha dropped her 13-track fifth album named ‘Gag Order’ via Kemosabe/RCA Records, produced by Rick Rubin. It follow-up to her 2020’s High Road and was preceded by dual lead singles “Fine Line” and “Eat the Acid.”
