American dance-punk revival band, LCD Soundsystem, has dropped their new single, “Home (Tom Sharkett Edit).” Listen to the full song below.
DFA will release the song on 12″ vinyl, with an instrumental version on the B-side. The label writes in the product description, “It wasn’t really hiding, just sitting quietly online. But Tom Sharkett’s edit of ‘Home’ was too good to ignore.” The bootleg came to DFA’s attention via Flo Dill’s Breakfast Show on NTS, the label added.
LCD Soundsystem are currently performing a special residency at London’s iconic Brixton Academy. Following these UK shows, the band will continue their North American tour, with TV on the Radio joining as special guests for select dates. Meanwhile, W. H. Lung — who recently released their latest album, Every Inch of Earth Pulsates, last year — will also be featured on parts of the tour.
Also, this year the band will be headlining the Portola festival at San Francisco’s Pier 80 this September 20-21. Passes available Thursday at noon PT, register for access at portolamusicfestival.com.
