The “Royals” singer, Lorde has announced the 1st track titled, ‘What Was That’ in 4 years. Check out the full post below.
Speaking about the artwork, in the picture, she is wearing a bright red T-shirt, her signature dark hair pleated in two braids, staring down the camera with water dripping down her face. In her caption, Lorde says, “My new song What Was That. Out soon. Shot by Talia Chetrit”.
The news comes just a week after Lorde first teased “What Was That” with her first-ever post on TikTok, sharing a video of herself walking through Washington Square Park in New York City while listening to the dreamy synth-pop track.
In feb 2025, Lorde teamed up with singer, Marlon Williams for the new track, “Kāhore He Manu E.” The track will appear on Williams’ first Māori language album, Te Whare Tīwekaweka, which will be released on April 4.
