The “Fantasy” singer, Mariah Carey has officially announced a 20th-anniversary reissue of her acclaimed comeback album, “The Emancipation of Mimi.”
The new edition of the album will be released on May 30 via Def Jam. The expansive 5xLP vinyl box set release includes the original 2005 album, the subsequent Ultra Platinum Edition, and a slew of new remixes from Kaytranada and Esentrik.
She announced the news via Instagram with the caption, “Happy “Mimi” Anniversary!! I’m excited to celebrate this one with you 🥰 While working on #Mimi20, I got to relive all the memories from this pivotal moment in my personal and professional life. This album has some of my biggest hits to date, as well as some personal favorites that are very special to me. Also, Carey has released the Kaytranada remix of “Don’t Forget About Us.” Listen now. The box set also features dozens of bonus tracks, instrumentals, a cappellas, and edits, culled from various CD singles and maxi singles.
Recently, Mariah Carey revealed her 2025 ‘The Celebration of Mimi” tour dates. The tour will take place on 16th May in Shanghai, China, and ends on 2nd Nov in Yokohama, Japan.
