The American singer, and songwriter, Miley Cyrus has dropped her brand new music video song named ‘Midnight Sky,’ directed by Miley Cyrus itself. Watch the full video below.

In accordance with a press release, The brand new song was inspired by female music icons together with Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, and Debbie Harry. The new single ‘MidNight Sky‘ off her long-awaited album, She Is Miley Cyrus.

The upcoming new album will mark her 2019 EP She Is Coming, which featured, Swae Lee and Mike Will Made It (“Party Up the Street”), the single “Mother’s Daughter” as well as collaborations with Ghostface Killah (“D.R.E.A.M.”), Rupaul (“Cattitude”).

Midnight Sky” marks Miley’ first new music since 2019. The singer announced the news via social media, On 6th Aug. also shared a teaser of the song on Wednesday with at 15-second video.

She sings, “Yeah, it’s been a long night and the mirror’s telling me to go home / But it’s been a long time since I felt this good on my own (Uh) / Lotta years went by with my hands tied up in your ropes (Your ropes) /
Forever and ever, no more (No more).”

On the time, Miley mentioned the EP can be the first of three six-song EPs, which, collectively, would comprise a new album, ‘She Is Miley Cyrus’. That particular project, however, by no means materialized and was partially delayed after Cyrus was hospitalized for tonsillitis in October, and later underwent a vocal surgical procedure.

Last week, Miley also shared pictures of herself via social media in the studio with the pop singer Dua Lipa and Watt, while teasing her fans even more with the caption, “Dua has heard what you haven’t….”
