Paramore’s singer, Hayley Williams, has officially unveiled the 17 brand new tracks. Listen to the full song below.
Hayley Williams of Paramore has officially released 17 new songs, which she initially shared exclusively on her website. The eclectic collection explores genres like pop, indie rock, alt-rock, and folk. Standout tracks include “Kill Me,” “Glum,” “Negative Self Talk,” and “Discovery Channel,” which creatively samples the Bloodhound Gang’s 1999 hit “The Bad Touch.” One of the tracks, “Mirtazapine,” recently premiered on Nashville’s WNXP radio station and had its live debut at the Newport Folk Festival, where Williams made a surprise appearance during Bleachers’ set.
The 17 new songs from Hayley Williams aren’t part of an official album or EP, but rather a unique self-released offering. Originally available only to fans who purchased her brand Good Dye Young’s new “Ego” hair dye, the tracks are now widely released through her new imprint, Post Atlantic, in partnership with Secretly Distribution. Written, performed, and recorded entirely by Williams, the songs were produced by longtime collaborator Daniel James. Contributions also come from Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard, with Jim-E Stack lending a hand on the track “True Believer.”
On June 18, Sunday, at Bonnaroo Festival, Paramore‘s Hayley Williams joined Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters onstage for an epic performance of “My Hero.”
