American singer and rapper, 6LACK has returned with his new album titled ‘Since I Have A Lover’ in Five Years. Listen to the full album below.
The album marks the rapper’s first full-length studio effort since 2018’s East Atlanta Love Letter. The album also includes the previously-released tracks “Since I Have A Lover,” “Fatal Attraction,” “Talkback” and “Rent Free.”
“Thank you to everyone who helped me finish this journal entry of an album. on the days where i couldn’t find the words, I leaned on my circle and re-emerged newly inspired. from my therapist to my partner, to my family & friends, to every amazing producer & some of my favorite pens, to all the people who worked behind the scenes to help you SEE it, thank you.” He explains about his Journey, “To all the millions of people that have been with me on this journey, it’s been fun (sometimes heavy) growing in front of you, but i wouldn’t have it any other way. enjoy! looking forward to knowing your favorites 🥷🏾💜 #SIHAL.”

He previously described the title track as “the highs of having a healthy love, compressed into song format. It’s a note to self, that I’m no longer who I was or where I was, and that there’s a bigger purpose starting to reveal itself in the things I create. We are simply pushing love, because it’s needed. The verses are short and serve as a moment of acknowledgment for how I feel, and the chorus is less of a lyric and more of a feeling. It’s an exhale, it’s relief, it’s trust, it’s happiness, it’s surreal.”
