DMX (real name Earl Simmons) has died at the age of 50 due to an apparent drug overdose. DMX was hospitalized on April 2 after suffering an apparent drug overdose and subsequent heart attack at his home in White Plains, New York.
After his death, all the music industry shared words of remembrance. Among them was Swizz Beatz, who posted a tribute to the rapper as a video on Instagram, describing him as a “different type of artist, different type of creative, different type of soul.”
