FIFTY FIFTY made a big splash on the internet with their breakout single “Cupid.” FIFTY FIFTY’s latest EP, titled “The Beginning,” was released on Friday, September 22. The girl group consisting of Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keena made their debut in November 2022 with their extended play titled “The Fifty.”
The Beginning is a collection of tracks from two of their previous EPs: “The Beginning: Cupid” and “The Fifty,” along with three newly recorded songs. It’s now available in seven different physical versions, each with its own color. The original version comes in pink, while the second version is in orange. Exclusive versions for various retailers like Target, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, Amazon, and D2C options come in red, green, blue, yellow, and purple. Well, FIFTY FIFTY has also worked for the soundtrack of the Barbie movie, “Barbie The Album.” The K-pop group contributed a track titled “Barbie Dreams,” the final song on the soundtrack, featuring rapper Kaliii.
Their single “Cupid,” which is also featured on “The Beginning,” made a significant impact on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This song gained popularity, especially on TikTok, and climbed the charts, eventually reaching its peak at No. 17. It marked them as the inaugural K-pop girl group to secure a position in the UK charts’ top ten. In the year 2023, they inked a deal with Warner Music Korea.
