Governors Ball shared the date news via social media with the caption, “New Year, New Dates. New Lineup Coming Soon. govball.com #GovBallNYC#NewYorkTough.”
He also added in the comment section, “Rest assured, we are working closely with the city and state authorities to ensure a safe experience for all. For more info on rolling over your 2020 tickets or requesting a refund, head to govball.com.”

The festival was canceled last year due to COVID-19 crisis, but now it will return this year with full fun, According to the festival’s FAQ, the lineup will be different from the cancelled June 2020 event and will be announced in the coming months.
It will take place on September 24-26 2021 this year. The musical artists was about to perform last year included Tame Impala, Missy Elliott, Flume, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepsen and Vampire Weekend.
“We’re booking an amazing lineup and making sure all suggested safety protocols are followed. Rest assured that safety is our first priority and we are working closely with all city and state authorities on everything,” the festival website reads.
