American rapper, Wiz Khalifa has confirmed that he will play Parliament leader George Clinton in a new Casablanca Records biopic.
According to the Deadline reported, Spinning Gold, a film about Casablanca Records chief Neil Bogart, is currently in production. The movie’s soundtrack will reportedly feature new covers of classic songs from artists portrayed in the film, so get ready for a Wiz Khalifa-fronted version of “Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker).”

The film will also feature Tayla Parx as Donna Summer, Ledisi as Gladys Knight, and Jason Derulo as Ronald Isley. The movie stars Jeremy Jordan as Bogart; Justin Timberlake was previously attached to play that role.
